David Burnham
Broadway Christmas2017 18 Season table for Website_copy2
November 18, 2017

David Burnham (Wicked, Light in the Piazza) opens the season on Nov. 18 with a combination of Broadway and holiday favorites.

Burnham will be making his third appearance in Broadway Voices.  He left his hit Las Vegas show in 2016 for the quick cross-country trip to Garner after making his first appearance on Broadway Voices in 2012.  Burnham, who was Fiyero in Wicked, consistently is named one of the top cabaret performers in the country.

Don't miss this opportunity to see him here in Garner!

Lauren Kennedy
January 13, 2018

Lauren Kennedy (Les Misérables, Sunset Boulevard, Side Show, Spamalot) comes to the Garner Performing Arts Center on Jan. 13

Kennedy is making her first appearance in Broadway Voices, but has been a series friend for years. She is the Producing Artistic Director of Theatre Raleigh and has played some of the most iconic roles on Broadway, including Fantine in Les Misérables and Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard.

Now she brings her extraordinary talents to Garner. Get your ticket quick before they're gone!

Craig Schulman's
Three Phantoms in Concert
April 7, 2018

Craig Schulman brings two other former Phantoms with him for his Three Phantoms in Concert on April 7. Schulman  is making his third appearance in BV, but this time he is bringing some friends. Schulman’s Three Phantoms in Concert has played in many of the country’s grandest theaters.

Schulman, who has been the Phantom in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom of the Opera, Jean Valjean in Les Misérables and the Jekyll/Hyde in Jekyll & Hyde, will be accompanied by two other performers who have been the Phantom of Broadway.“It is a fun show to sing,” Schulman said. “Since there are three of us, we get to sing some of the songs that we love, sing some together, some alone and have some laughs along the way.” Last fall, Schulman brought the concert to Raleigh’s Memorial Auditorium for a fund-raiser for flood victims that raised more than $50,000.

We are thrilled to welcome this amazing show to Garner!

Broadway Voices Series

Broadway Voices is a partnership among the Town of Garner, The Garner Chamber of Commerce and area businesses.

The Triangle’s Broadway Voices returns for its eighth star-studded season with three concerts featuring Broadway veterans with strong area roots.

The series has attracted four Tony nominees and performers who have starred in some of Broadway's biggest shows including "Beauty and the Beast," "Edwin Drood," "Wicked," "Mary Poppins," "Phantom," "Les Miserables," "Ragtime," "Jekyll & Hyde," "Thoroughly Modern Millie;" and "Chicago."

"Growing up in Garner, I never would have believed that we would have Broadway stars on our stage," said Garner Mayor Ronnie Williams. "It still amazes me."

“Broadway Voices is known for its excellence,” Neal Padgett, Garner Chamber President said.   “This may be our most popular season ever.”

One indication of the talent attracted to Garner is that last year’s three artists - Rebecca Luker, Hugh Panaro and Brent Barrett - almost immediately joined a Broadway production in a starring role.

“Garner one day, back to Broadway the next,” Padgett said.
